Job Summary: We are looking for a hands-on .NET Senior Developer to join our AI-accelerated product engineering pod. You'll design, build, and ship production-quality .NET Core applications and APIs, working from specs that serve as the source of truth for both code and tests. You'll pair with AI-native tools such as Claude Code to accelerate your day-to-day development, while operating inside the human-governed, spec-driven workflow set by your Tech Lead — using AI to move faster without cutting corners. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise in .NET Core, C#, Web API, React, and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) with genuine, hands-on comfort using AI coding assistants in a professional setting, plus the judgment to know when a human review checkpoint matters.
Key Responsibilities
AI-Augmented Development
- Design, develop, and maintain .NET Core applications, RESTful APIs, and Windows Services, working from specs that guide both AI-assisted and manual development.
- Use AI coding assistants (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar) as a genuine pair programmer to accelerate development — while applying your own engineering judgment to what ships.
- Operate within the team's AI guardrails and human-in-the-loop review checkpoints — flagging code that needs senior or SME review (security, core stored procedures, critical business flows).
- Build and maintain modern, responsive frontend applications using React.
- Build and maintain PowerShell automation scripts for deployment and system operations.
- Migrate legacy ASP.NET applications to modern .NET versions, improving performance and security — leveraging AI-assisted codebase assessment where useful.
- Integrate cloud-based solutions (Azure/AWS) and contribute to DevOps initiatives.
Quality & Collaboration
- Conduct and participate in code reviews — of both human and AI-generated code — to maintain quality and consistency.
- Collaborate with Product, QA, and cross-functional stakeholders to define, estimate, and deliver features.
- Participate in sprint planning and backlog grooming, translating requirements into well-scoped technical tasks and specs.
- Troubleshoot complex issues and drive adoption of engineering best practices and coding standards.
- Contribute to and follow the team's reusable skill and prompt library so AI-assisted output stays consistent and on-standard.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Strong proficiency in .NET Core, C#, and Web API.
- Strong hands-on experience with React (required).
- Hands-on experience with Windows Services and PowerShell scripting (required).
- Proficient in ASP.NET development — Windows applications, web applications, and WCF services.
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, Microservices Architecture, and SOA.
- Experience migrating legacy .NET applications to modern .NET versions.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB).
- Working knowledge of Azure or AWS, and DevOps practices.
- Hands-on experience using AI coding assistants/agents (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar) in a professional development setting — not just casual use.
- Comfort working in a spec-driven development model, and operating within AI guardrails and human-in-the-loop review checkpoints.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted quality and review tooling (e.g., SonarQube, Snyk, CodeRabbit) and test automation (e.g., Playwright) is a plus.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and performance optimization skills.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in .NET development.
- Proven experience building frontend applications using React.
- Prior experience developing on an AI-first or AI-augmented engineering team is a strong plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
