AI-native Software Developer | gradnext Remote / Hybrid | 1 to 3 years experience
About the role
gradnext's product was built entirely using AI. We are looking for a developer who is deeply comfortable in this paradigm: using tools like Replit, Claude Code, and Emergent to ship fast, break things, and fix them. You will own the codebase, manage bugs, and ship new features autonomously. This is not a ticket-taking role.
What you will do
- Build and maintain gradnext's AI-native product end to end
- Debug and fix issues across the stack independently
- Ship new features quickly using AI-assisted development workflows
- Own code quality, deployment, and stability with no hand-holding
- Collaborate with the founders to translate product ideas into working software
- Iterate constantly based on user feedback and usage data
What we are looking for
- 1 to 3 years of software development experience
- Strong, demonstrable experience building with AI tools: Claude Code, Replit, Emergent, Cursor, or similar
- Ability to build a complete, working AI-native app end to end (portfolio required)
- Comfortable across the full stack: frontend, backend, APIs, and deployment
- Self-driven with high ownership mentality
- Fast learner who thrives in ambiguity

Nice to have
- Experience integrating LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) into production apps
- Prior work at an early-stage startup
- Side projects or open source work showing AI-native development
