About the Role
We are looking for a senior AI-Native Platform Architect to help transform the operational systems of a growing enterprise software organization into an AI-agent-operable platform.
You will work across systems such as Odoo, Redmine, GitHub, and other enterprise platforms, redesigning how business processes are executed so that AI agents can safely create, route, execute, and resolve work alongside people.
This is not a traditional configuration or application development role. You will combine Ruby on Rails engineering, enterprise systems architecture, integrations, plugin development, and agentic AI to build the operational infrastructure for the next generation of AI-powered businesses.
What You Will Do
* Own the architecture and evolution of enterprise operational platforms and their integrations.
* Translate business processes across delivery, support, finance, and engineering into scalable technical workflows.
* Design APIs, webhooks, MCP servers, and other agent-operable interfaces that allow AI agents to safely interact with business systems.
* Build and maintain *Ruby on Rails plugins and extensions, particularly for platforms such as Redmine.
* Develop Odoo modules and GitHub integrations where required.
* Design cross-platform workflows connecting ERP, delivery, support, engineering, and business systems.
* Lead modernization of legacy applications, customizations, and integrations while maintaining production stability.
* Build guardrails, audit trails, testing, access controls, and human-in-the-loop mechanisms for AI-driven workflows.
* Review architecture and code, including AI-generated code and agent-authored changes.
* Establish engineering standards that ensure enterprise systems remain secure, observable, maintainable, and upgrade-safe.
What We're Looking For
*10+ years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, enterprise application development, or architecture.
* Strong hands-on expertise in Ruby on Rails and Ruby.
* Production experience building plugins, extensions, modules, APIs, or enterprise integrations.
* Strong understanding of software architecture, APIs, integrations, and enterprise business systems.
* Practical experience with AI, LLMs, AI agents, agentic workflows, or AI-powered automation.
* Experience designing systems that connect multiple business applications and operational workflows.
* Strong engineering discipline around testing, security, observability, data integrity, and maintainability.
Strongly Preferred
* Experience with Redmine or Redmine plugin development.
* Experience with Odoo or comparable ERP/business platforms.
* Experience with MCP (Model Context Protocol.
* Python and PostgreSQL experience.
* Experience with GitHub Apps, GitHub Actions, REST APIs, and webhooks.
* Experience modernizing or migrating legacy enterprise applications.
* Experience in SaaS, enterprise software, scale-up, or PE-backed environments.
* Experience working with globally distributed teams.
What Makes This Role Different
You won't simply be configuring enterprise tools or building another AI application.
You will help design the operational substrate through which AI agents can safely run real business processes at scale.
You'll have significant ownership over architecture, tooling, automation, modernization, and the transition from human-operated systems to AI-native operations.
