What we're looking for

• Strong CS fundamentals, data structures, system design, how things actually work under the hood
• JavaScript expertise, not just framework knowledge. You understand the language, not just the tools built on top of it
• Comfortable working across the full stack, UI, API, DB schema, query performance, deployment
• Actively uses AI coding tools to move faster, not as a crutch, but as a force multiplier
• Can learn a new framework or language fast when the situation calls for it

Strong plus

• Experience with Next.js, NestJS, or MongoDB
• Has thought about system design at scale, not just written it in an interview, but actually dealt with it
• Worked in a small team where you had real ownership

Be honest with yourself before applying

• This is a startup. Things move fast. The stack might change on the next project. The team is small enough that a weak link is felt immediately.
