About The Role
We are seeking an AI and Machine Learning Engineer who is eager to shape the future of financial services through innovative AI applications. As part of our dynamic team, you will have the opportunity to work directly with our founding members and be a key contributor to our product development and strategic initiatives. Your role will involve applying state-of-the-art AI techniques to address complex challenges faced by our clients in the financial industry. You will be instrumental in designing, building, and refining datasets to evaluate and enhance our solutions continually. Additionally, you will participate in strategy sessions and product ideation, influencing the roadmap and ensuring our offerings remain cutting-edge and impactful.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline. You should possess between 4 to 8 years of experience in MLOps, DevOps, or similar roles, demonstrating a solid understanding of machine learning concepts and practical implementation skills. Strong programming expertise in Python and familiarity with deep learning frameworks such as Pytorch, JAX, or TensorFlow are essential. Experience working with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP, along with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, is required. Additionally, candidates should have experience with experiment tracking and model versioning tools, as well as a good understanding of data pipeline orchestration tools like Apache Airflow or Prefect. Knowledge of ethical considerations in AI deployment and strong problem-solving skills are highly valued.
Responsibilities
As a key member of our AI team, your responsibilities will include:
- Agentic AI Development: Building scalable, multi-modal Large Language Model (LLM) based AI agents using frameworks such as LangGraph, Microsoft Autogen, or Crewai to create intelligent, adaptable systems.
- AI Research and Innovation: Conducting research to develop innovative solutions for AI challenges, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), semantic search, knowledge representation, tool integration, fine-tuning, and reasoning within LLMs.
- Technical Expertise: Applying your proficiency in Python, LlamaIndex / LangChain, PyTorch, HuggingFace, FastAPI, Postgres, SQLAlchemy, Alembic, OpenAI, Docker, Azure, Typescript, and React to develop and optimize AI applications.
- LLM and NLP Experience: Working hands-on with large language models, NLP techniques, and applying machine learning to solve complex, real-world problems effectively.
- Dataset Development: Building and curating datasets for training, evaluation, and benchmarking machine learning models to ensure high-quality, reliable AI solutions.
- Customer Focus: Deeply understanding client domains and challenges to deliver solutions that provide tangible value and meet specific business needs.
- Adaptability: Thriving in a fast-paced, early-stage environment, and being flexible to evolving project requirements and technological advancements.
- Model Deployment and Management: Automating deployment pipelines, monitoring model performance, and managing retraining processes to maintain optimal system operation.
- Collaboration and Optimization: Partnering with data scientists and developers to review, refactor, and optimize machine learning code for efficiency and scalability.
- Version Control and Governance: Implementing best practices in version control and governance to ensure reproducibility, compliance, and traceability of models and data.
