Job Description – AI/ML Engineer (GenAI & Geospatial Systems)

About the Role
AIQ Space Ventures is building advanced AI systems for GIS, satellite intelligence, and space-tech applications. We are looking for an AI/ML Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Generative AI, LLM frameworks, and applied machine learning.
This role focuses on designing and deploying RAG systems, multi-agent AI workflows, computer vision models for satellite imagery, and predictive analytics systems integrated directly into production platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deploy RAG-based and multi-agent LLM systems using frameworks such as LangChain and LangGraph.
- Build agentic workflows that integrate AI into geospatial and backend platforms.
- Train, fine-tune, and optimize machine learning and deep learning models.
- Develop computer vision models using satellite and geospatial datasets.
- Build predictive models for large-scale spatial and temporal data.
- Integrate AI systems into backend services and APIs.
- Optimize model inference for performance and scalability.
- Maintain clean, version-controlled, and well-documented ML pipelines.
Required Skills
- 2+ years of hands-on AI/ML development experience.
- Strong proficiency in Python.
- Solid understanding of machine learning fundamentals (statistics, probability, model evaluation, overfitting, bias-variance tradeoff).
- Strong hands-on experience with LLMs and Generative AI systems.
- Experience with LangChain and/or LangGraph.
- Experience building RAG pipelines and multi-agent systems.
- Experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Experience working with computer vision or geospatial datasets.
- Understanding of model deployment and API integration.
Nice to Have
- Experience with geospatial libraries (GDAL, Rasterio, GeoPandas, etc.).
- Experience deploying models on GCP or Azure.
- Familiarity with Docker environments.
- Exposure to MLOps practices.
- Experience working in startups or research-driven environments.
What This Role Is Not
- Not a prompt-only chatbot builder.
- Not a research-only academic role.
- Not limited to basic NLP tasks.
This role builds production-grade AI systems for real-world geospatial intelligence platforms.
