Are you an AI engineer who hates "Cloud Wrappers"? Most AI today is just a call to a foreign API. At Kalinga Sovereign AI, we believe in Digital Sovereignty. We are building a robot that can speak, reason, and diagnose in the middle of a tribal forest—with zero internet.
We are looking for a Foundational AI Architect to own the "Cognitive Layer" of the SEVA-SAHAYAK CareBot.
The Onboarding Model: 30-Day Technical Sprint
We are a mission-driven startup looking for true believers. We don't believe in traditional "interviews." We believe in building.
- Phase 1 (The 30-Day Sprint): You will work with the founders for a one-month intensive evaluation period. This is an unpaid technical period where you prove your ability to deploy quantized models on constrained hardware.
- Phase 2 (The Mandate): Upon successful completion of the sprint, you will be formally onboarded some of you as our AI Lead .
Compensation (Post-Evaluation):
- Salary: ₹30,000 – ₹40,000 per month.
- The Founding Equity Pool: We are looking for partners, not just employees. Upon the successful completion of one year of the project, 1% of the total company equity will be divided equally and issued to the first cohort of founding employees. This is your chance to own a piece of the sovereign stack you build.
The Technical Challenge:
Can you take a 7B parameter LLM, quantize it to 4-bit, and make it reason in Sambalpuri, Desia, and Kui on constrained edge compute devices? If your answer involves "OpenAI API," this isn't the role for you. We build for the Edge.
What You’ll Do:
- Vox-Sovereign Engine: Architect the STT/TTS pipeline for 21+ regional dialects of Odisha.
- Master the Edge: Optimize and deploy quantized models (GGUF/EXL2) on NPU-heavy architectures.
- Vision & Vitals: Implement rPPG algorithms for non-contact heart rate and SpO2 monitoring.
- Privacy-First: Ensure 100% on-device inference—zero patient data ever leaves the robot.
Technical Stack we respect:
- Deep Learning: PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX.
- Optimization: llama.cpp, AutoGPTQ, bitsandbytes, TensorRT.
- Linguistics: Experience with low-resource language fine-tuning (LoRA/QLoRA).
