We’re looking for a hands-on AI leader to build and lead a new, dedicated team at GeakMinds serving a Fortune 500 technology client. This is part architect, part people-leader, part client-partner: you’ll own the technical direction of AI and data science initiatives, recruit and grow the team, and serve as the senior point of contact the client’s stakeholders trust. You’ll set the bar for delivery quality while staying close enough to the work to guide design decisions yourself.
What You’ll Do
Lead & Build
· Stand up a new dedicated delivery team for the client — define the operating model, hire, onboard, and shape the team’s technical culture.
· Mentor, coach, and grow data scientists and ML/AI engineers; create paths for them to take on increasing ownership.
· Own delivery accountability: scope, estimate, prioritize, and ensure solutions land on time and to standard.
Engage the Client
· Partner with client stakeholders to understand business problems and translate them into AI/analytics approaches.
· Articulate data science and Gen AI solutions clearly to both technical and executive audiences, and build the roadmap that gets from problem to production.
Drive the Work
· Set the technical direction for ML and Gen AI solutions, and stay hands-on enough to make and defend key architecture and modeling decisions.
· Establish best practices for the data and ML lifecycle — engineering, modeling, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring.
What You Bring
Required
· Proven experience leading AI/data science teams and delivering for enterprise clients, ideally in a consulting or GCC model.
· Strong grounding in statistical and data mining techniques, with hands-on experience building ML models in Python.
· Ability to collect, clean, and engineer large datasets using SQL and PySpark.
· Strong data analysis and visualization skills to surface insight that drives decisions.
· Production experience on at least one major cloud platform — Azure preferred; AWS or GCP also valued.
· Ability to communicate complex solutions to senior client stakeholders with clarity and credibility.
Strongly Preferred
· Working knowledge of Gen AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) — including practical experience with agentic AI, RAG, and LLM evaluation.
· Familiarity with the Microsoft data and AI stack (Fabric, Azure AI Foundry) given the engagement’s technology direction.
