Role Summary
A leading AMC is building a shared
AI platform to power multiple digital and business journeys
investor/customer,
distributor/partner, and
internal teams. They are looking for an external hire who is a
technical product leader and can
take AI/GenAI from concept to production at scale.
You will own the
end-to-end delivery of the AI platform
strategy, build, rollout and run so teams can ship AI features faster, with the right controls for a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities - Own the AI platform roadmap: set priorities, plan releases, and align stakeholders on what we build and by when.
- Build shared GenAI/ML capabilities: deliver reusable platform components like:
- Knowledge/RAG services (Retrieval-Augmented Generation)
- Model orchestration/routing
- Evaluation frameworks
- Observability (quality, latency, cost, incidents)
- Guardrails (safety, privacy, policy)
- Developer tooling (APIs, templates, standards)
- Full delivery ownership: drive execution with squads/vendors scope, timelines, quality, release readiness and production performance.
- Enable product teams: provide self-serve APIs, templates and standards so teams can ship across channels without rebuilding the same things.
- Responsible AI & governance: ensure strong controls for privacy, security, auditability and compliance; work closely with Compliance/Legal/Risk/InfoSec.
- Lead the team: hire, coach and lead a cross-functional team (product, platform/engineering, ML engineering, data) and run a strong execution cadence.

- Investor experience improves: higher satisfaction/NPS, smoother journey completion (discover invest track), fewer avoidable issues, better service quality.
- Business growth outcomes: uplift in digital adoption, lead-to-invest conversion, distributor productivity, and contribution to net flows/AUM (with the right compliance guardrails).
- Platform adoption at scale: multiple teams/use cases onboarded; high reuse of platform services; reduced duplicate builds.
- Production-grade reliability: stable uptime/latency, controlled costs, fewer incidents, and clear monitoring + response.
- Safe and compliant execution: documented evaluations, clean audit trails, and consistent governance for AI releases.
Must-Have Experience & Skills
- 12+ years overall experience in digital product/platform delivery (Product/Engineering), with 3+ years leading AI/ML or GenAI initiatives.
- Proven track record taking AI from idea/POC production scale, including run ownership (monitoring, incidents, continuous improvements).
- Strong ability to translate model behaviour into product decisions (what to build, what not to build, how to measure, how to control risk).
- Hands-on familiarity with major enterprise AI model types (practically: LLMs + embeddings, and broader ML where relevant) and ability to evaluate options pragmatically.
- Practical understanding of GenAI patterns (prompting + retrieval/RAG) and platform thinking (reusable services, standards, APIs, tooling).
- Strong delivery leadership with senior stakeholders; ability to drive cross-functional execution with clear ownership and accountability.
- Experience working in a regulated / risk-aware environment with a governance, privacy and control mindset.
- Education: BE/BTech (CS/Engineering/Data or related). Postgraduate qualification is a plus.
Domain Fit (Flexible)
- Mutual Funds domain is nice to have, not mandatory.
- Candidates from Wealth / Insurance / Banking / FinTech with relevant AI platform + product leadership experience are equally suitable.
