Prompt Engineer / AI Interaction Designer
Role Summary
We are seeking a Prompt Engineer to design, optimize, and govern how AI agents think, reason, and communicate. This role focuses on creating prompt architectures, reasoning flows, guardrails, and conversational intelligence that enable reliable and human-like AI agent interactions.
This role sits at the intersection of AI cognition, UX design, and behavioral engineering.
Key Responsibilities
Prompt Architecture & Reasoning
- Design prompt frameworks for task execution and reasoning
- Develop chain-of-thought and multi-step reasoning flows
- Create structured prompts for decision-making agents
- Implement self-correction and reflection prompting strategies
Agent Behavior & Communication
- Define agent tone, personality, and interaction patterns
- Optimize agent responses for clarity, trust, and usability
- Design conversational flows for multi-turn interactions
- Reduce hallucinations and ambiguity in outputs
Guardrails & Safety
- Implement safety constraints and policy enforcement
- Build refusal logic and boundary conditions
- Improve reliability and compliance in outputs
Performance Optimization
- Conduct prompt experiments & A/B testing
- Improve accuracy, latency, and cost efficiency
- Monitor response quality & error patterns
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working with LLMs (GPT, Claude, Llama, etc.)
- Strong understanding of prompt engineering techniques
- Knowledge of reasoning patterns & structured prompting
- Excellent written communication & UX thinking
- Familiarity with RAG systems and tool-augmented prompts
- Basic Python or scripting skills (preferred)
Preferred Background
- Cognitive science, linguistics, psychology, UX, or AI background
- Experience designing conversational interfaces or chatbots
- Exposure to safety alignment or AI policy frameworks
