Technical Writer

AI Insurance is transforming how commercial insurance companies operate by automating core workflows like underwriting, quoting, and client servicing. Our SaaS platform helps insurance teams work faster and smarter by combining AI-powered decision support with human-friendly, configurable software. We're looking for a part-time (1-3 hours/week) Technical Writer to own and expand our product documentation. You'll work independently to understand our platform, proactively identify gaps, and collaborate with product, engineering, and customer success teams to continue to add to our clear, user-focused documentation. Your work will include writing and updating user guides, internal developer docs, and onboarding materials that help both new and experienced users succeed with AI Insurance. ### **What You'll Do** * Write, edit, and maintain high-quality documentation across our public documentation site (https://aiinsurance-1ef97d09.mintlify.app/), including: * Product overviews and updates * Getting started guides * API and integration references * Workflow and configuration instructions * Collaborate with engineers and team to document new features and product changes * Be able to review existing documentation and propose improvements in clarity, structure, and accessibility * Help create internal guides to support customer onboarding and support team workflows ### **What We're Looking For** * Proven experience writing technical documentation for a SaaS or API-driven product * Ability to quickly understand complex systems and explain them clearly * Excellent written communication skills with strong attention to detail * English fluency, written and spoken * Experience working with Markdown, Git, and tools like Mintlify or similar documentation platforms * Bonus: familiarity with the insurance industry ### **Why Work With Us** * Small, high-trust team where your work will have a big impact * Fully remote and async-friendly * Work on a modern product that solves real pain points in a legacy industry
