About Troopr Labs We build AI products for modern enterprises. ~30-person team. Bootstrapped and profitable. Our products are used by 100,000+ users at companies like Starbucks, Netflix, Snowflake, and Spotify. Our engineering team is building bleeding-edge agentic AI products for engineering, service, and ops teams — including AI agents, RAG systems, multi-agent orchestration, and enterprise-grade AI workflows.
The Role This is a high-ownership engineering role. You will build product features end-to-end on the MERN stack while aggressively leveraging AI across the entire development lifecycle — coding, debugging, architecture, refactoring, testing, and documentation. We don’t want someone who occasionally uses Copilot. We want someone who can’t imagine shipping code without AI. You should already be using tools like Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, v0, Bolt, or similar — and have strong opinions about which ones work best for what.
What You’ll Do
- Build and own end-to-end product features: APIs, UI, database, deployment.
- Develop scalable Node.js + Express APIs and modern React applications with clean component architecture.
- Design and optimize MongoDB schemas and queries for performance at scale.
- Use AI-powered tools for rapid prototyping, code generation, debugging, and refactoring — daily, not occasionally.
- Ship fast. We value working software over perfect plans. You’ll prototype, validate, and iterate quickly with engineering and product teams.
What We’re Looking For
Must-Have
- 1+ years building full-stack applications with MongoDB, Express.js, React, and Node.js (Backend Heavy)
- Demonstrated AI-first workflow — show us your setup. We’ll ask you to walk through how you use AI tools in your actual dev process.
- Strong fundamentals: data structures, API design, async patterns, component architecture.
- Clear written and verbal communication. We’re remote-first; async clarity matters.
Strong Signals
- You’ve built something non-trivial with AI tools (side project, open-source contribution, automation).
- Prior experience in a B2B SaaS product environment.
- Familiarity with LLM APIs, prompt engineering, or building AI-powered features.
- You stay curious — you follow AI tooling releases, experiment with new dev workflows, and form opinions.
