Company Description Origin 91 Studios is an AI storytelling studio that explores how cinema can find new life through technology and craft. The team reimagines Indian stories using filmmaking techniques, AI tools, and emerging creative voices, with a strong focus on culture, emotion, and lived-in details. Origin 91 offers a space to experiment, iterate, and create with care, while staying grounded in what makes stories genuinely connect with audiences. The studio’s name reflects its perspective: “Origin” as the first spark of an idea, and “91” as India’s calling code, symbolizing stories that begin in India and travel globally. Origin 91 collaborates with filmmakers, creators, and technologists who care deeply about the future of storytelling.
Role Description The AI Filmmaker will work full time on-site at Origin 91 Studios in Mumbai, collaborating with a small, creative team to develop AI-driven films and storytelling experiments. Day-to-day work includes conceptualizing story ideas, designing visual approaches, and using AI tools to generate, refine, and iterate on scripts, imagery, and motion. The role involves building narrative structures, crafting character arcs, and shaping scenes while integrating feedback from directors, writers, and technologists. The AI Filmmaker will test and compare different AI workflows, document creative processes, and help develop best practices for AI-first filmmaking. The position also includes close collaboration with collaborators and partners, maintaining high creative standards, and contributing to the studio’s evolving point of view on AI and cinema.
