📌About Us
Posha is building robot kitchens for the future.
Our first product, the Posha Countertop was recognized as one of TIME’s Best Inventions of 2025 and rave reviews from The Verge and WIRED for bringing robotics and AI into everyday kitchens.
We’re a fast-growing Series A–funded startup backed by Accel Partners and we’re just getting started.

🤔What can I expect from this role?
Posha is one of the rare robotics startups building production-grade consumer robots, with hundreds of units deployed in real homes.
This role involves working on the next generation of Posha robots. You will work to get robotic arms doing real cooking tasks — not demos, but repeatable, debuggable behavior — using imitation learning, open-source hardware, and whatever tooling gets the job done fastest.
You'll work hands-on with hardware, record training episodes, train and evaluate models, and iterate until things work.
🔧What will my work responsibilities look like if I join Posha?
- Operate robotic arms to define and record training episodes for cooking manipulation tasks
- Train imitation learning models — ACT, or similar — and evaluate them rigorously against real task success
- Understand & experiment with Vision-Language-Action models (pi0, SmolVLA or similar) for generalization across environments and object variations
- Debug failures at every level — hardware, perception, policy — and instrument your pipeline so you know what's actually failing
- Evaluate and integrate open-source tooling for episode annotation, data pipelines, and training infrastructure — don't build what already exists
- Nice to have: Train in simulation (MuJoCo, Isaac Lab) with RL and transfer to real hardware
😍What makes you a match for us?
- Strong Python; comfortable reading and modifying research codebases (not just running scripts)
- Hands-on experience with robotic arms — you've made one move and done something useful with it
- Familiarity with imitation learning fundamentals: behavior cloning, data collection, policy evaluation
- Working knowledge of VLAs or transformer-based policies (pi0, SmolVLA, ACT, Diffusion Policy)
- Comfortable navigating the open-source robotics ecosystem — LeRobot, ROS/ROS2, HuggingFace robotics, etc.
🚀What The World Thinks of Posha
- Posha is comparable to Tesla FSD
- “Posha is a fairly good sign that the future is closer than I thought” - The Verge
- Posha’s tagline is “See dinner cook itself, and it largely lives up to this.” - WIRED
Why Posha?
- Few organizations offer challenges similar to ours. Building completely autonomous cooking robots requires thinking from first principles and building from the ground up.
- We believe that Posha is a generational company with the opportunity to alter the trajectory of how food is cooked inside homes today. This opportunity is parallel to how autonomous cars have made an impact.
- This role will be at the forefront of this opportunity.
