Company Description
We are building WrdsAI, a safe AI learning platform for students, and are looking for a strong AI Engineer to design and build a high-accuracy AI system powered by LLMs and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
Role Description
🔹 Role Overview
You will be responsible for building an AI system that can understand questions, retrieve the right context, and generate clear, accurate, step-by-step explanations in real time.
🔹 Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement RAG-based architectures
- Build and optimise retrieval pipelines for high accuracy
- Work with LLMs for real-time question answering
- Structure and process large document datasets (PDFs, text)
- Implement semantic search using embeddings
- Handle different user inputs (partial queries, natural language, images – bonus)
- Optimise for low latency, high accuracy, and cost efficiency
- Continuously improve answer quality and user experience
🔹 Required Skills
- Strong experience with Python
- Hands-on experience with RAG pipelines
- Experience with LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.)
- Familiarity with vector databases (Pinecone, FAISS, Weaviate, etc.)
- Understanding of embeddings and semantic retrieval
- Experience with prompt engineering and response optimisation
🔹 Must Have
- Experience building AI products or chat systems
- Experience handling PDF ingestion and chunking
- OCR / image-to-text pipelines
- Interest in education or learning systems
