Do you build, break, and tune systems until they work seamlessly in the real world? We're looking for a builder at heart — someone who doesn't stop at "it works," but keeps pushing until interfaces feel fast, intuitive, and effortless.
You'll work across backend services, web apps, real-time dashboards, and the data layer to build and continuously improve the platforms that power voice AI agents deployed in high-stakes, real-world scenarios — collaborating with platform, infrastructure, and conversational AI engineers, and with enterprise clients serving customers across global-majority languages.
⚙️ What you'll do
- Architect and implement features across the full stack — backend services, APIs, frontend interfaces, and data layers — owning each through design, build, deployment, and continuous improvement
- Build and own the platform services behind voice AI at scale: campaign orchestration, dialer logic, call routing, scheduling, and telephony integrations
- Push the boundaries of reliability, throughput, and ultra-low latency in production, working closely with engineers, QA, designers, and infrastructure
- Design and evolve data models, pipelines, and storage (PostgreSQL, time-series and CDR data) for high-volume call processing, reporting, and analytics
- Debug across the entire stack — root-cause analysis spanning application code, databases, telephony/SIP, queuing, and cloud infrastructure
- Build for scale and resilience — concurrency, backpressure, retries, and graceful degradation under heavy load
- Integrate third-party APIs (telephony, LLM/ASR/TTS, messaging, payments) with robust error handling, rate-limit management, and failover
- Enforce security and compliance in production, especially for regulated financial-sector clients
- Introduce and uphold engineering best practices around code quality, testing, CI/CD, versioning, and experimentation
🎯 What we're looking for
- 4+ years developing and scaling production-grade cloud applications
- 2+ years building backend services and APIs that serve real production traffic — with meaningful frontend exposure
- Proficient in Python; experience in a Django codebase preferred
- Hands-on with AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) and a proven ability to leverage them to ship faster — actively building them into your workflow, not just aware of them
- Strong with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred) — schema design, query optimization, high-volume data
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS — EC2, RDS/Aurora, S3, IAM) and deployment, containerization, and CI/CD
- Sharp debugging mindset — reading logs, tracing requests across services, isolating failures
- Clear, structured written communication for specs, design docs, and code reviews
- Curious, fast-learning, and motivated by shipping real products used by real customers
✨ Bonus points for
- Security and compliance in production — security audits, access controls, and hardening for regulated (BFSI) clients
- DevOps practices — CI/CD pipelines, Docker, infrastructure-as-code, multi-environment deployments
- FreeSWITCH or similar telephony platforms — or understanding how the app layer integrates with the voice stack
- AWS data services (Glue, Athena) for ETL pipelines and large-scale data, including CDR and call analytics
- Building dashboards and reporting layers that turn high-volume operational data into actionable insight
- Telephony/SIP, real-time systems, or other latency-sensitive production infrastructure
