About The Role
The Engineer, Artificial Intelligence at Mitchell Martin Inc. plays a pivotal role in supporting the development, deployment, and optimization of cutting-edge AI solutions. This position involves working closely with data scientists, machine learning engineers, and product teams to translate complex business requirements into scalable and efficient AI systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in machine learning, natural language processing, and emerging AI technologies such as Generative AI and Large Language Models. Qualifications
Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field. Alternatively, candidates with a High School Diploma or General Education Degree coupled with over four years of relevant experience in AI/ML development are also considered. Demonstrated professional experience in developing and deploying AI/ML models is essential. Proficiency in machine learning frameworks, programming languages such as Python, and cloud platforms is required. The ability to quickly learn new technologies, coupled with a solid understanding of ethical considerations in AI systems—including data privacy, security, and bias mitigation—is highly valued. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential to succeed in this role.
Responsibilities
The Engineer, Artificial Intelligence will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to supporting the execution of machine learning, natural language processing, and large language model deliverables aligned with organizational AI strategies. The role involves developing custom ML, Generative AI, NLP, and LLM models for both batch and stream processing pipelines, including data ingestion, preprocessing, search and retrieval, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), and model development. Collaboration is key; the candidate will work closely with data scientists, ML engineers, and software developers to integrate AI models into production environments seamlessly. Staying current with emerging AI/ML technologies and recommending innovative approaches to enhance existing systems is a vital part of the role. Additionally, applying best practices in data privacy, security, and bias mitigation throughout the development lifecycle is critical to ensure responsible AI deployment.
