About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated AI Engineer to join our dynamic team at 9NEXUS. In this role, you will be at the forefront of designing and implementing advanced Generative AI solutions, leveraging large language models such as Claude or similar. Your expertise will contribute to building innovative retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines, developing robust backend services, and integrating knowledge bases using graph databases like Neo4j. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on scalable AI architectures, optimize model performance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful AI-driven products. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, a passion for AI research, and a desire to solve complex problems through innovative technology.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a combination of technical expertise and practical experience, including:
- Proven experience in Python and/or Node.js development, with a solid understanding of backend service architecture
- Hands-on experience working with large language models such as Claude or similar models
- Deep understanding of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures and prompt engineering techniques
- Experience with graph databases, particularly Neo4j, and knowledge of integrating knowledge bases with AI models
- Familiarity with embeddings, vector search, and semantic retrieval methods
- Experience in building scalable APIs and microservices architectures
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to project management
Responsibilities
The key responsibilities for this role include:
- Design and develop Generative AI solutions utilizing large language models such as Claude or similar technologies
- Build and optimize retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines to enhance AI response accuracy and efficiency
- Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using Python and/or Node.js to support AI applications
- Integrate large language models with knowledge bases using Neo4j, enabling sophisticated graph-based retrieval systems
- Design and manage vector and graph-based data pipelines to facilitate AI-driven insights and applications
- Fine-tune prompts, evaluate model performance, and implement improvements to response quality
- Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and engineering teams to deliver scalable and reliable AI solutions
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI and incorporate innovative techniques into ongoing projects
