Position : Senior Software Engineer, Agentic Data Reliability
Experience : 4Years+
Job Location : Bangalore ( Hybrid )
We are transforming QGrid from a passive monitoring tool into an autonomous system that "self-heals" data pipelines. As a Senior Engineer on the Agentic Data team, you will build the core execution engine that allows AI agents to observe data anomalies and take direct action. You won't just build pipelines; you will build the systems that build and repair them.
Core Responsibilities:
Implement Agentic Loops: Build and optimize the integration between our observability core (metadata, logs, lineage) and the LLM-based reasoning engines.
Tool Engineering: Develop the "Action" layer—secure, robust APIs and sandboxed environments that allow agents to execute SQL, adjust orchestration schedules, and modify dbt models.
Multi-Tenant Scaling: Ensure that autonomous agents operate efficiently and securely across our multi-tenant architecture, maintaining strict data isolation.
Agentic Unit Testing: Develop frameworks to validate agentic "thoughts" and actions before they reach production, ensuring high reliability in autonomous decision-making.
Specification-Driven Development (SDD): Work within an SDD framework to implement features, using agents to generate code and documentation from high-level product specifications.
Technical Requirements:
Engineering Foundation: 5+ years of professional software development experience, with a strong focus on Python and distributed systems.
Data Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of the modern data stack (Snowflake, Databricks, dbt, Airflow) and the "Pillars of Data Observability."
Agentic Implementations: Hands-on experience with LLM integration (OpenAI API, Anthropic, or local SLMs) and frameworks like LangGraph, CrewAI, or AutoGPT.
SQL Mastery: Ability to build systems that programmatically generate, optimize, and debug complex SQL.
API Design: Experience building robust, secure REST or gRPC APIs that serve as "tools" for autonomous agents.
Preferred Experience
Experience with Agent IDEs (e.g., Antigravity, Cursor, or proprietary agentic dev environments).
Knowledge of Data Contracts and how to use them as guardrails for autonomous schema evolution.
Prior experience in a SaaS environment, specifically dealing with high-volume metadata and observability data.
How You’ll Work
Agentic Workflow: You will be expected to use AI agents to accelerate your own development cycle. We prioritize engineers who can "force multiply" themselves using agentic tools.
Reliability First: Because our product ensures other people's data is reliable, our internal standard for code quality and system uptime is uncompromising.
Collaborative Innovation: You will work closely with our Principal Engineer and Product Managers to define the boundaries of what an "autonomous data engineer" can safely do.
