AI Engineer – Sports Analytics
📍Remote | 🕐 Full-time | 🏢 Future Sportler | CTC Break : 8-9 LPA + ESOPs of worth ₹ 5,00,000
We're building AI systems that analyze how athletes move, perform, and improve — and we're looking for an AI Engineer who is as passionate about sport as they are about machine learning.
This is not a generic AI role. You'll be working on real sports problems — pose estimation, movement analysis, video understanding, performance prediction — using state-of-the-art computer vision and deep learning techniques. Your work will directly impact how athletes train and how coaches make decisions.
What You'll Do:
• Design and develop AI/ML models for sports performance analysis
• Build computer vision pipelines for real-time athlete tracking, pose estimation, and biomechanics analysis
• Develop video understanding models for action recognition, technique classification, and shot/movement detection
• Build and optimize inference pipelines for deployment on mobile and edge devices
• Collaborate with sports scientists and coaches to translate domain knowledge into AI features
• Contribute to model evaluation, benchmarking, and continuous improvement
What We're Looking For:
• 2+ years of experience in machine learning or computer vision engineering
• Strong proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks (PyTorch or TensorFlow)
• Hands-on experience with computer vision — object detection, pose estimation, tracking, or segmentation
• Familiarity with models like YOLOv8, MediaPipe, OpenPose, or SAM
• Experience building and deploying ML pipelines end to end
• Strong understanding of video processing (OpenCV, FFmpeg)
• Ability to work with real-world, noisy, unstructured sports data
• Solid fundamentals in linear algebra, statistics, and ML theory
Nice to Have:
• Experience with sports tracking systems (Hawk-Eye, Catapult, or similar)
• Knowledge of biomechanics or human movement science
• Familiarity with action recognition models (SlowFast, VideoMAE, TimeSformer)
• Experience with edge/mobile deployment (TensorRT, ONNX, CoreML)
• Background in cricket, football, badminton, or racket/cue sports analytics
• Experience with tools like Roboflow, Label Studio, or CVAT for dataset preparation
