AI-Enabled Finance Functional Consultant (ERP) — Healthcare & Life Sciences | Manufacturing | Retail

Role Overview:
We are seeking an AI-enabled Finance Functional Consultant to partner with business leaders—under CIO sponsorship—to modernize finance operations using ERP standardization, GenAI-assisted analysis, and intelligent automation. This role is primarily functional and customer-facing, focused on outcomes such as faster close, improved working capital, stronger compliance, and better decision support across Healthcare & Life Sciences, Manufacturing, and Retail.
You will lead workshops, define future-state processes and controls, and drive adoption—using AI tools to accelerate discovery, documentation, testing support, and insight generation—while partnering with ERP application managers and delivery teams to ensure solutions are secure, auditable, and usable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Align finance and business leaders (Controller, Treasury, Revenue Cycle/AR, AP, FP&A) on priorities, KPIs, and decision governance under CIO sponsorship.
- Lead current-state discovery and future-state design across R2R, P2P, and O2C, embedding controls, approval workflows, and close discipline.
- Translate industry needs into finance process requirements: Healthcare & Life Sciences (revenue integrity, charge/contract compliance), Manufacturing (COGS, inventory/standard cost, accruals), Retail (high-volume invoicing, returns/allowances).
- Leverage AI/GenAI to accelerate analysis (process mining signals, variance narratives), improve exception handling (anomaly detection), and prioritize work based on business impact.
- Drive business readiness: UAT ownership, training strategy, communications, and responsible AI guardrails (human-in-the-loop, auditability, data privacy).
- Define finance insights and value realization (close cycle time, working capital, leakage, automation rate) and maintain a quarterly improvement roadmap.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 6–12 years in finance transformation / ERP-enabled process improvement, partnering with business leaders under CIO/IT sponsorship.
- Strong functional finance foundation (GL/AP/AR/FA, close, reconciliations, intercompany) and ability to map impacts to financial statements.
- ERP functional experience (SAP/Oracle/Dynamics/NetSuite/Infor) with strength in solution validation and business sign-off.
- Requirements & governance discipline plus AI adoption governance (prompting standards, validation, privacy, audit trails, human review).
- Proven change leadership: UAT facilitation, training approach, stakeholder communications, and stabilization governance.
- Analytical problem solver using Excel and AI copilots to accelerate reconciliations, variance narratives, and executive-ready insights.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CA/CMA/MBA and/or deep industry experience in Healthcare & Life Sciences, Manufacturing, or Retail finance operations.
- Prosci or Lean/Six Sigma; familiarity with AI copilots / prompt engineering / responsible AI practices in enterprise settings.
