Role: AI Automation Executive
Location: Remote (Aligned with UK time zone)
Experience: 3–5 Years
About the Role
We are hiring an AI Automation Executive to join the AI Transformation team, reporting to the Head of AI Transformation. This is an end-to-end role: you will sit with team leads across the business, identify broken or inefficient processes, scope and estimate the ROI of automating them, and ship the solution — typically as an n8n workflow, Anthropic Managed Agent, or a combination of the two.
Every project ladders back to three quarterly objectives: revenue generated by AI automations, hours saved across the business, and a shared AI knowledge layer live across every department. If you cannot tie a piece of work back to one of those three, we don’t do it.
Key Responsibilities
Execution — Ship Automations That Move the Business
• Lead cross-team discovery conversations with department leads to surface broken or inefficient processes that are good candidates for automation.
• Scope each opportunity end-to-end: write the brief, estimate hours saved and revenue impact, and stamp it on the Linear ticket before build.
• Design, build, and deploy production-grade workflows in n8n — multi-step, fault-tolerant, with clear error handling and monitoring.
• Build AI-driven workflows using Anthropic (primary) and OpenAI — prompt engineering, Managed Agents, tool use, and conversational flows where appropriate.
• Develop and maintain integrations across the Healf stack via APIs, webhooks, and MCP — Shopify, Snowflake, Slack, Linear, Airtable, Notion, Gorgias, Xero.
• Own automations in production: monitor, debug, perform root-cause analysis on failures, and keep workflows reliable enough that the rest of the business can trust them.
Enablement — Build the AI Knowledge Layer
• Contribute to the shared AI knowledge layer — ingesting SOPs, building MCP servers, and shipping skills that other teams can use.
• Author and maintain MCP integrations and shared skills that lift other teams’ productivity, not just your own.
• Run training and enablement sessions for non-technical teams (Claude 101, n8n basics, agent building) so the rest of the team can build on top of what we deliver.
• Maintain clean technical documentation: workflow diagrams, SOPs, architecture notes, and post-mortems.
Requirements
• Strong hands-on n8n experience — workflow design, custom nodes, scaling, self-hosted deployments, and an opinion on keeping large workflow estates maintainable.
• Working fluency with AI/LLM APIs — Anthropic and/or OpenAI in production. You can reason about prompt design, agent loops, tool use, context windows, and where AI is the wrong tool.
• Solid scripting ability — JavaScript preferred (n8n code nodes, custom logic); Python a plus.
• REST APIs, OAuth, JSON, webhooks — advanced. You can wire up complex integrations without supervision.
• Production reliability mindset — logging, monitoring, alerting, retries, idempotency, and root-cause analysis on critical failures.
• Commercial framing — you can quantify hours saved and revenue impact for a piece of work, defend the number, and revisit it after launch.
• Discovery and scoping — comfortable sitting with non-technical team leads, asking the right questions, and translating their pain into a clear automation brief.
• Independent ownership — you can take a problem from first conversation to deployed automation without being managed step-by-step.
• Enablement instinct — you can train and mentor others on the tools you build. You value the leverage of teaching as much as the leverage of shipping.
Preferred Skills
• Experience authoring or consuming MCP servers (Model Context Protocol).
• Experience with Anthropic Managed Agents, Claude Code, or Claude Cowork.
• E-commerce / Shopify experience, particularly at scale (Snowflake-backed analytics rather than API pagination workarounds).
• Prior ownership of an automation portfolio with measurable hours-saved or revenue-impact reporting.
• Self-hosting n8n, Docker, and basic cloud deployment hygiene (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Voice AI exposure (Vapi or similar).
• Familiarity with security and data governance - secrets management, PII handling, human-in-the-loop review gates.
Experience
• 3–5 years in workflow automation, integration engineering, or AI/automation architecture.
• Track record of high-volume, production-critical automations — ideally with a number attached (hours saved, revenue generated, processes replaced).
• Exposure to tools like Zapier, Make, or similar platforms alongside n8n.
• Experience with branching logic, queues, async processes, and non-trivial data transformations.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or Engineering — a strong portfolio of shipped work matters more than any credential.
Why Join Us
• Work at the centre of a genuinely AI-native business - not a side project, the core strategy.
• High ownership and end-to-end accountability from day one.
• Collaborate with a tight, cross-functional team and direct access to the Founder and CTO.
• Build automations that move real business metrics - every project has a number attached.
• Flexible, remote work environment aligned to UK time zone.
