Role Overview
We are seeking a seasoned, hands-on AI Architect to lead the design and delivery of production-grade AI/ML systems across our client engagements. At Finiteloop, the AI Architect will be embedded in delivery, working alongside engineering, design, and client teams to architect solutions that are reliable, scalable, and genuinely fit for purpose. You will help move clients forward on their AI journey, from foundational data pipelines to AI-native operating models.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect end-to-end AI/ML systems across client engagements, data pipelines, model training infrastructure, inference systems, and RAG pipelines.
- Hands-on development and fine-tuning of LLMs, agentic AI frameworks, and multi-modal AI systems. Ability to convert research papers to usable models.
- Define AI/ML engineering best practices, coding standards, and deployment patterns that scale across the studio's delivery teams.
- Work directly with clients across industries (maritime, FMCG, enterprise, manufacturing, automation) to translate business problems into AI architectures.
- Evaluate and select AI frameworks, cloud services (Azure/AWS/GCP), and tooling with pragmatism over trend-chasing.
- Lead proof-of-concept development and prototyping for new AI initiatives, moving fast in short intelligent loops.
- Establish and maintain MLOps practices: CI/CD for models, monitoring, drift detection, and retraining workflows.
- Mentor AI Developers across the studio; raise the bar on AI craft without creating silos.
- Ensure all AI solutions meet responsible AI standards, data privacy requirements, and client governance frameworks.
- Contribute to Finiteloop's thought leadership, insights, frameworks, and IP that reflect how we think about AI.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of software engineering experience with 3+ years specializing in AI/ML architecture.
- Deep hands-on expertise in Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX.
- Strong experience with LLMs (GPT-VX, Claude, Llama, Mistral and Open Source models) and orchestration frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or Semantic Kernel.
- Proven experience designing RAG systems, vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, Azure AI Search), and embeddings pipelines.
- Proficiency with cloud AI services: Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, or Google Vertex AI.
- Hands-on experience with MLOps tools: MLflow, Kubeflow, Azure ML.
- Solid understanding of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architecture.
- Able to work comfortably in a consulting/studio environment — multi-client, fast-context-switching, outcome-focused.
- Strong communicator — able to translate complex AI concepts clearly to non-technical client stakeholders.
- Ability to lead teams and in a dynamic start-up environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with multi-modal AI (vision, speech, document intelligence) relevant to industrial and enterprise client base.
- Exposure to predictive maintenance, anomaly detection, or industrial AI systems.
- Familiarity with data warehouse and lakehouse architectures (Azure Synapse, Databricks).
- Background in Agile or iterative delivery environments; comfortable with short cycles and visible progress.
- Experience working in or alongside GCC / embedded team models.
- If you are in South Bangalore, you have a locational advantage.
- Exposure to IOT , OT Systems is a big plus
