Job details:
Who we are:
Lexi is a Silicon Valley start-up in the Enterprise IoT space that has already raised several million dollars from a long list of experienced angel investors.
In addition, the company’s executive team includes many of the top IoT executives in the industry, such as multiple board members of the key wireless protocol standard setting bodies, product managers with over 70 IoT patents to their name and sales executives who have took their former company from $0 to $200M/annual revenue in 5 years (in IoT no less).
We are consistently winning major customers against our competitors, whose market caps start in the hundreds of millions of dollars and go into the billions. In short, you will be joining a winning team that is poised to grow the company into the unicorn ranks in just a few short years.
As with all our team members, you will be granted to participate in this huge growth trajectory.
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced AI Architect to lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performance AI solutions across our IoT ecosystem. This role will define the AI vision, architecture, and technical roadmap, ensuring seamless integration of machine learning models with distributed IoT systems.

- Establish best practices for MLOps, model lifecycle management, and governance
- Drive adoption of AI frameworks and tools across global engineering teams
- Collaborate with product teams to translate business requirements into AI-driven solutions
- Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and regulatory standards across regions
- Evaluate emerging technologies (GenAI, federated learning, TinyML, etc.) and incorporate them into the roadmap
- Mentor engineering teams and provide technical leadership across geographies
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2+ years in AI/ML architecture roles
- Strong expertise in machine learning, deep learning, and statistical modeling
- Experience designing AI systems for IoT, edge computing, or distributed environments
- Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn)
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Strong understanding of data engineering concepts (streaming, ETL, data lakes)
- Experience with MLOps tools (MLflow, Kubeflow, SageMaker, etc.)
- Good oral and written communication skills in English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with edge AI / TinyML deployments
- Familiarity with digital twins and industrial IoT use cases
- Exposure to Generative AI and large language models in enterprise applications
