AI Agent Engineer / Applied AI Engineer

Role Overview
We are looking for an AI Agent Engineer / Applied AI Engineer to help us design, build, and deploy intelligent AI agents across our products and internal workflows.
This role is ideal for someone who can go beyond building simple chatbots and instead create production-ready AI agents that interact with enterprise systems, understand workflow context, retrieve relevant data, assist users, automate actions, and solve real operational problems.
You will work across solutions such as:
- Workspace Management Systems
- Healthcare Doctor & Patient Room Signage Systems
- University Classroom Timetable & Signage Systems
- Corporate Pantry Management Systems
- Meeting Room Booking and Scheduling Platforms
What You’ll Do
- Design and develop AI agents for real-world enterprise workflows across scheduling, room booking, digital signage, support, facilities, and operations
- Build intelligent assistants that can understand user intent, retrieve business context, reason through tasks, and recommend or execute next steps
- Integrate AI agents with existing applications, APIs, databases, calendars, authentication systems, and device/platform management tools
- Develop retrieval-augmented generation pipelines using product documentation, FAQs, schedules, policies, configuration data, and operational knowledge
- Create agent-based workflows for use cases such as booking assistance, support triage, timetable optimization, deployment readiness checks, and admin configuration assistance
- Work closely with product, design, engineering, and business teams to identify high-impact AI opportunities
- Implement prompt engineering, evaluations, tool use, guardrails, and fallback mechanisms for reliable enterprise-grade AI applications
- Optimize AI systems for quality, speed, security, cost, and scalability
- Contribute to reusable AI architecture and frameworks that can be applied across multiple Aiotron products
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of software engineering or applied AI experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Python and backend/API development
- Experience building applications using LLMs, AI workflows, or agent-based architectures
- Practical understanding of:
- Prompt engineering
- Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
- Vector search / embeddings
- Tool use / function calling
- AI orchestration frameworks
- Experience integrating applications with REST APIs, databases, auth systems, and enterprise platforms
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to convert business workflows into usable AI solutions
- Familiarity with cloud deployment and production-grade software practices
- Understanding of AI safety, reliability, permissions, auditability, and responsible deployment
Nice to Have
- Experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, OpenAI APIs, Azure OpenAI, or similar AI platforms
- Experience with digital signage, workplace systems, scheduling platforms, IoT-connected products, or facilities-related software
- Exposure to healthcare, education, or enterprise operations workflows
- Experience with analytics, forecasting, optimization, or workflow automation
- Full-stack capability to build internal tools, admin copilots, or user-facing AI features
- Experience designing or evaluating multi-step agent workflows
