Role Overview
We are looking for a highly technical AI Agent & Automation Strategist who thinks and operates like a founder. This role will work directly with the founding team to continuously identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency across marketing, growth, internal workflows, analytics, and product operations.
Unlike traditional roles, no tasks will be assigned. You are expected to discover problems, design solutions, and build them yourself using the latest AI agents, automation platforms, and developer tools.
This is a hands-on technical role, not a consulting or research role. The candidate must personally prototype, build, deploy, and maintain automation systems.
Your mission is to ensure Rocket remains operationally ahead of the market by leveraging the latest AI agent technologies and automation tools.
Key Responsibilities- Identify operational inefficiencies across marketing, growth, research, and internal workflows
- Build AI agents, automations, and internal tools to solve these problems
- Experiment with the latest AI technologies and implement them in real workflows
- Strong understanding of different AI models and their unique capabilities, knowing when and how to use the right model for the right task
- Stay updated with the newest AI agent tools, such as Claude Code, Codex, OpenClaw, Cursor, and similar autonomous coding or automation agents
- Implement systems using concepts such as AI agents, memory systems, skills/tools, and agent swarms.
- Continuously bring new ideas and solutions that improve how the company operates
What We Are Looking For
- 2–4 years of experience building technical solutions, automation systems, or AI tools
- Strong hands-on builder able to design, prototype, and implement solutions independently
- Deep curiosity about the latest AI tools, agent systems, and automation technologies
- An entrepreneurial mindset is someone who thinks like a founder and solves problems proactively
- Comfortable working directly with founders and driving initiatives end-to-end

Important Note
This role is not suitable for candidates with only prompt engineering or basic AI tool experience. We are looking for someone who has deeply worked with AI systems, understands model behavior and limitations, and has shipped real automation or agent-based solutions into production.
You should be comfortable building systems end-to-end from experimentation to production deployment.
