Role Description The Agriculture Teacher will deliver structured, curriculum-aligned lessons on agriculture and related practical skills to students across assigned grades. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and preparing lesson plans, teaching theoretical and practical aspects of agriculture, organizing classroom and field-based activities, and assessing student learning through assignments, tests, and projects. The teacher will maintain accurate records of student performance, provide constructive feedback, and support learners who need additional guidance. The role also involves collaborating with other staff on academic planning, participating in school events, and promoting environmental awareness and sustainable practices among students. This is a full-time, on-site role based at Green Valley English School Kerakat in the Varanasi area.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of agricultural science, including crops, soil, agronomy, horticulture, and basic animal husbandry.
- Ability to design and deliver engaging, student-centered lessons that combine theory with hands-on activities and demonstrations.
- Effective classroom management skills and experience working with school-age learners in a structured environment.
- Clear, professional communication skills in English; ability to explain complex concepts in simple, age-appropriate language.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Agriculture, Agricultural Education, or a closely related field; relevant teaching certifications are an advantage.
- Comfort with basic educational technology and willingness to integrate digital resources into teaching where appropriate.
- Commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory teaching practices and the ability to support learners from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong organizational skills, reliability, and a collaborative attitude toward colleagues, students, and families.
- Prior teaching experience in schools or agricultural training programs is preferred but not strictly required for outstanding candidates.
