About the Company
GBPL Bharat is engaged in the import of complex water-soluble fertilizers, trading of agricultural inputs, and hybrid seeds distribution across India. The company is expanding its domestic and international operations and is looking for a dynamic professional to develop the fertilizer sourcing network and expand the agri-input business in India.
Position: Agribusiness Development Manager
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
- Develop and expand fertilizer and agricultural input markets across India.
- Identify and onboard distributors, dealers, and corporate clients in the agriculture sector.
- Build long-term relationships with large distributors, agri companies, and institutional buyers.
International Sourcing
- Coordinate with international fertilizer manufacturers and suppliers for sourcing products.
- Assist in identifying reliable suppliers from different countries and negotiate purchase terms.
Client Relationship Management
- Maintain strong PR and professional relationships with corporate clients and distributors.
- Ensure long-term partnerships and repeat business through effective communication and service.
Negotiation & Market Intelligence
- Demonstrate strong negotiation skills while finalizing supply contracts and distributor agreements.
- Monitor market demand, pricing trends, and competitor activities in fertilizers and agri inputs.
Coordination
- Work closely with logistics, import documentation, and sales teams to ensure smooth business operations.
Candidate Requirements
Education
- B.Sc. Agriculture / Agronomy, OR
- MBA in Agribusiness
Experience
- Min 3 years’ Experience in fertilizers, agrochemicals, seeds, or agricultural inputs industry will be preferred.
- Experience in business development, sourcing, or agri trading is an advantage.
Skills Required
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to maintain strong PR with corporate clients and distributors
- Good understanding of fertilizer and agricultural input markets
- Ability to develop new business opportunities across India
