Salary range: $65,000 to $80,000
Description
Responsible for the preparation and analysis of monthly financial statements, supporting workpapers, and tax-related documentation. This role will work closely with internal accounting staff and external independent accountants to support year-end reporting and tax compliance.
In addition to financial reporting responsibilities, this position will assist with day-to-day accounting functions, account reconciliations, and treasury-related activities. This is a hands-on role offering exposure to a wide range of accounting functions and long-term growth opportunities within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and record general ledger entries to accurately reflect accounting activity
- Compile and analyze monthly financial statements
- Prepare and maintain supporting schedules and workpapers for financial reporting and tax preparation
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax workpapers for external accountants
- Research and analyze tax-related issues at both the federal and state level
- Perform account reconciliations and assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Assist with cost analysis and other operational accounting functions
- Support treasury activities, including cash monitoring and reporting
- Collaborate with internal team members and external accountants to ensure accurate and timely reporting
- Identify and recommend process improvements and resolve accounting discrepancies
- Analyze financial results and provide creative feedback

Job Specifications / Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- 4–5 years of accounting experience preferred
- CPA designation preferred, but not required
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles
- Understanding of tax concepts and ability to research tax issues
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with accounting software systems preferred
- Understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives
