About Farme
Farme is an agritech startup building an online marketplace for farmers in Maharashtra. We combine technology with on-ground advisory to help farmers make better decisions - from buying the right inputs to getting expert crop guidance, all in one place.
The Role
You'll be the farmer's go-to person - someone they trust for crop advice and turn to when they need to buy. This is a dual role: part advisor, part salesperson. You'll connect with farmers over call, understand their needs, guide them on the right products, and help close the sale. Relationship-building is at the heart of this job.
What You'll Do
- Advise farmers on crop protection, nutrition, and pest management over call
- Recommend and sell the right agri-input products based on their crop stage and needs
- Build genuine, long-term relationships that drive repeat business
- Follow up on inquiries and leads to convert them into orders
- Coordinate with the team to ensure smooth delivery and post-sale support
- Keep records of farmer interactions and sales activity
What We're Looking For
- B.Sc. Agriculture — mandatory
- Good working knowledge of agri-inputs and farming practices
- Comfortable on calls; warm, clear communicator in Marathi and Hindi
- Sales drive — you enjoy convincing people and closing deals
- Empathetic, farmer-first attitude with attention to detail
