About the role

We’re looking for a seasoned and hands-on Sales Director (player-coach) to sign large corporate and institutional accounts, and a team leader to develop and coach our sales managers using best practices (including weekly one-on-one meetings, and utilizing our CRM platform to make sure that we deliver excellent value to our customers). Sales managers typically work with multi-generational families who use our products for their farms and other owners. You’ll work closely with the CEO (company culture) and the Program Director (customer delivery and forecasting). The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of farming communities and is analytical enough to work with sophisticated customers with ambitious goals and a layered management structure.

Business model and environmental impact:
We offer a suite of cost-effective, hardware-free SaaS tools: CropMonitor, PumpMonitor, and RanchMonitor. They are designed to provide a complete Farm Asset Management platform across the entire team: general managers, accounting staff, ranch managers, agronomists, sustainability professionals and field crew. AgMonitor operates at half the cost of traditional solutions and have been adopted by multi-generational farms (Bowles arming, Terranova Ranch, etc.), corporate processors (Olam Food Ingredients, Fowler Packing, etc.) and institutional funds (AgIS Capital, Nuveen, etc.).

Key Responsibilities

What You'll Do:
• Establish sales targets with the CEO and improve conversion ratios of leads with the S&M team
• Identify and qualify new leads within your region and assign others to Sales Managers
• Be a strong leader and coach who can elevate the team living the company values
• Articulate our value proposition and drive product demonstrations at large accounts
• Negotiate contracts and close sales with confidence and integrity
• Manage large corporate accounts to deliver excellent value and be an advocate for the industry
• Work with Program Director on product delivery and with Tech Support to measure actual savings
• Absorb technical knowledge and become a super user of our products
Preferred Qualifications:

Skills and Expertise

Preferred Qualifications:
• 7+ years of sales experience with proven success in a player-coach or leadership role
• 5+ years of experience in Food & Ag sector or SaaS sales
• Strong analytical skills and experience with CRM system
• Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Science, Environmental Science, or Engineering
• Familiarity with utility rate structures or irrigation systems
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a bonus
