Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Assistant General Manager – Interior & Fit-Out based in Chennai. The Assistant General Manager will oversee project planning, execution, and delivery to ensure quality outcomes within budget and timeline requirements. Responsibilities will include resource management, vendor coordination, team leadership, project progress tracking, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The individual will collaborate with the design and engineering teams, oversee client communications, and drive continuous improvement in project processes and solutions.
Qualifications
- Project Management Skills: Proficiency in project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation, with experience in delivering interior and fit-out projects on time and within budget.
- Team Leadership and Communication: Strong leadership abilities, effective team collaboration, and excellent verbal and written communication skills to manage internal teams and client relationships.
- Technical and Design Expertise: Working knowledge of architecture, interior design, fit-out processes, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) solutions. Familiarity with design coordination and execution.
- Vendor and Stakeholder Management: Experience in coordinating with vendors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and sustainable partnerships.
- Problem Solving and Adaptability: Proven ability to handle challenges, resolve issues efficiently, and adapt to dynamic project environments.
- Relevant experience in managing interior and fit-out projects, preferably across diverse industries such as commercial spaces, healthcare, or retail environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. Postgraduate qualifications in project management or a related discipline are a plus.
- Proficiency in project management software tools and advanced knowledge of regulatory and safety compliance standards is an advantage.
