Role Objective -
To lead the Production Planning & Control (PPC) function across multiple plants by ensuring robust production planning, replenishment-driven inventory management, and seamless coordination to achieve high service levels, cost efficiency, and operational excellence.
Job Responsibilities -
Optimize inter-plant capacity utilization, load balancing, and standardize planning processes across locations. • Lead and oversee PPC operations across multiple manufacturing units while driving centralized and synchronized production planning. • Design and implement replenishment (pull-based) planning models to ensure material and finished goods availability based on demand patterns. • Maintain optimal inventory levels across plants, warehouses, and distribution channels while minimizing stock-outs and excess inventory. • Develop and execute short-term and long-term production plans aligned with business demand and customer requirements. • Monitor plan vs. actual performance and drive corrective actions to ensure high production adherence and On-Time Delivery (OTD). • Align production schedules with dispatch plans and customer commitments to ensure seamless order fulfillment. • Oversee MRP planning and execution across plants and ensure effective coordination with procurement for material availability. • Drive reduction of slow-moving, non-moving, and obsolete inventory while improving inventory turnover and working capital efficiency. • Ensure effective utilization of SAP (PP/MM modules) and maintain high accuracy of master data including BOMs, routings, and lead times. • Leverage MIS and analytics for data-driven decision-making and performance tracking. • Lead Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency. • Identify and implement cost optimization opportunities across planning, inventory, and logistics functions. • Develop contingency plans and risk mitigation strategies to handle supply chain and production disruptions. • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing PPC team across locations while driving capability development and succession planning. • Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement across teams. • Ensure adherence to company policies, quality standards, audit requirements, and maintain strong process governance.

Desired Position Qualification & Experience -
Education: B.Tech (Mechanical/Industrial) or MBA (Supply Chain / Operations)
Experience: 15+ years- 20 years in PPC / Supply Chain within manufacturing industry
