Job Context
Leads technical vendor and contractor management for running plants, project sites, and infrastructure (e.g., railway siding, underground mining). Evaluates performance, develops alternate sources, and ensures civil, compliance, and market alignment.
Functional competencies
- Vendor and contractor performance evaluation
- New and alternate vendor/product development
- Market scanning for raw material trends and pricing
- Manpower planning and skill availability assessment
- PAFISI compliance and regulatory alignment
- Capability and financial inspection of contractors
- Freight forwarding and custom clearance handling
- Letter of credit (LC) documentation and execution
- Railway siding, plant, and underground coal site coordination
Knowledge / Technical skills required
- Cement manufacturing process and civil construction.
- Contractor ecosystem and financial capability metrics.
- Skilled manpower trends and availability.
- Compliance frameworks (PAFISI, etc.).
- Raw material sourcing and market trends.
- Customs, logistics, and international trade norms.
Experience: 12 to 15 years
Qualification: B.E/ B.Tech in Mechanical / Civil engineering
