Job details:
·Looking for 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, preferably in the BFSI sector
·Strong experience with Agile practices and frameworks — Scrum, Kanban, SAFe ceremonies
·In-depth working knowledge of Jira Cloud and Confluence — workflow design, dashboards, process enforcement
·Experience in Agile coaching and mentoring teams toward higher maturity
·Ability to work cross-timezone with overlap on US Eastern Time
·Data literacy — understanding of data modeling, data ingestion, migration, big data ecosystems (Hive, Hadoop, etc.)
·Knowledge of DevOps pipelines — CI/CD concepts, build and deployment workflows
·Familiarity with cloud technologies and concepts— preferably GCP
·Good to have experience handling data-related projects (data engineering, data platform, or data lake programs)
·Good to have: Agile certifications (CSM, PSM, SAFe SM/SPC, or equivalent)
Responsibilities
·Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies and actively participate in PI Planning — ensure PI objectives, sprint goals, capacity planning, risk identification, confidence votes, and commitments are documented and tracked in Jira
·Act as liaison between leadership and the team — manage dependencies, risks, and bridge the gap between offshore and onsite working closely with TPM
·Collaborate with Product teams, RTEs, Data Engineers, and App teams to plan and align work
·Go beyond hosting ceremonies — understand what the team is building, their biggest challenges, the roadmap, build strategy, test strategy, and the overall pulse of the team toward delivery
·Identify blind spots, foresee risks, and proactively mitigate — don't just find problems, come with proposed solutions
·Publish sprint reports, capacity sheets, retro boards, dependency trackers, risk dashboards, and change management boards
·Build team-level metrics — velocity, lead time, cycle time, bug reports, in-sprint automation — that roll up to program level
·Develop and maintain Jira workflows, work item workflows, and sprint metrics; ensure Jira hygiene is intact for effective reporting
·Keep documentation alive — review periodically, update
·Ensure a healthy, clean backlog; guide the team on User Story creation, Acceptance Criteria, and mandatory fields for data retrieval
·Understand the bigger roadmap and translate it into sprint plans that drive toward the larger goals
·Strong verbal and written communication — ability to understand the technology and work effectively with tech leads and managers
·Drive Agile maturity within and across teams
