What You Will Build
An agentic automation framework using Playwright and MCP
Tool definitions that expose browser actions, assertions, and data setup as MCP tools
Agent orchestration logic that sequences test steps intelligently
Integration with our GitLab CI/CD pipeline
Documentation sufficient for the permanent team to maintain and extend the framework
Required Skills
Minimum experience - 4 to 5 years
Core Technical
Playwright -Deep knowledge of the Playwright API — selectors, auto-waiting, trace tooling, browser
contexts
Node.js - Primary implementation language
AI / LLM integration - Hands-on experience building systems that use LLMs (not just prompting) — tool
calling, structured outputs, context management
Model Context Protocol (MCP) - Understanding of the MCP specification — tool definitions, server/client
architecture, transport layers
Agent design - Designing agent workflows: tool selection, error recovery, retry logic, state management
Prompt engineering - Writing reliable system prompts, few-shot examples, and tool descriptions that
produce consistent agent behaviour
Web fundamentals - HTTP methods, headers, cookies, authentication flows, REST APIs, request/response
lifecycle
Git & CI/CD - Branching, merge requests, pipeline integration (GitLab CI preferred)
Supporting Technical
Docker - Containerising the framework for pipeline execution
API testing - REST/GraphQL interaction, auth token management, response validation
RAG patterns - Retrieval-augmented generation for feeding test context to agents (test data, page structures, expected states)
Salesforce DOM - Shadow DOM traversal, Lightning Web Component structure, dynamic element identification
Nice-to-Have
Salesforce experience (any capacity — admin, dev, or testing)
Open-source contributions or published work demonstrating AI/automation capability
Experience with test management tools (TestMo, Xray, etc.)
