Job Title: Salesforce and AI Senior Associate
Experience 6 - 10 years
Key Skills Apex, Triggers, Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, LWC, Flows, Agentforce,
Agentic AI, AWS / GCP, Python / TypeScript
Educational
Qualification BE / B Tech / ME / M Tech / MBA / MCA
Job Description
As a Salesforce and AI Senior Associate, you will be a senior technical contributor operating across two highly-visible streams within our practice — leading Salesforce delivery on client engagements while serving as a senior engineer on the AI and agentic accelerators the practice is building.
This role demands genuine depth on both sides: you are expected to be a strong, independently operating Salesforce developer with production-grade AI agent experience, not a Salesforce SME dabbling in AI or an AI engineer picking up Salesforce along the way. PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this management level include but are not limited to:
- Lead hands-on Salesforce development on complex Service Cloud and Sales Cloud engagements — architect and implement Apex, LWC, integrations, and automation — while owning end-to-end technical delivery for your track.
- Serve as a senior builder on the practice's AI and agent initiatives — contributing to architecture, code reviews, and production hardening of internal platforms, Agentforce solutions, and agentic tooling deployed to client environments.
- Design, build, and ship production-grade AI agents: you understand the full lifecycle — agent loop design, tool and MCP integration, context engineering, memory, evals, observability, cost and latency
trade-offs, and failure modes in production.
- Partner with practice leadership to shape the technical roadmap for AI accelerators, translating business problems into robust agent architectures rather than proof-of-concept demos.
- Mentor Associates and junior engineers across both Salesforce and AI workstreams, conduct code reviews, and contribute to KSS and lessons-learnt sessions.
- Use feedback and reflection to develop self-awareness, identify p personal strengths and address development areas.
- Demonstrate critical thinking and the ability to bring order to unstructured problems — particularly important given the ambiguity inherent to new AI product development.
- Own ticket quality, deliverables review, and status reporting for your project; adhere to SLAs, with experience in incident, change, and problem management.
- Know how and when to use the tools available for a given situation and can explain the reasons for the choice — including when NOT to reach for an LLM or agent-based solution.
- Seek and embrace opportunities that give exposure to different situations, environments, and perspectives across the AI and Salesforce ecosystems.
- Use straightforward communication, in a structured way, when influencing and connecting with others; comfortable presenting technical work to both leadership and client stakeholders.
- Build a strong team environment that includes client interactions, workstream management, and cross-team collaboration across Salesforce delivery pods and the AI team.
- Able to read situations and modify behavior to build quality relationships with clients and internal leadership.
- Uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct.

It will also be key to lend experience and effort in helping win and support customer engagements from not only a technical perspective, but also a relationship perspective.
Required Skills
- Extensive hands-on Salesforce development experience across Service Cloud and Sales Cloud, including complex Apex, asynchronous processing (Batch, Queueable, Schedulable, Platform Events), Triggers, Test Classes with meaningful assertions and strong coverage, SOQL/SOSL, LWC, Aura, Flows, and deep knowledge of governor limits and platform architectural boundaries.
- Strong command of Salesforce REST/SOAP APIs and enterprise integration patterns — real-time, batch, synchronous, asynchronous, bi-directional — with production experience across XML/JSON
payloads and middleware (MuleSoft, Boomi, or similar).
- Deep understanding of the Salesforce security model, sharing and visibility design, and technically scalable data modeling at enterprise scale.
- User Interface engineering: LWC, Salesforce Visualforce, HTML5, JavaScript (modern ES), CSS, with a track record of shipping reusable, performant components.
- Fluent with Data Loader, VS Code, Workbench, SFDX CLI, and Git- based source control; experience leading CI/CD on Salesforce projects (SFDX, unlocked packages, metadata deployments, automated testing pipelines).
- Proven, production-grade experience building and operating AI agents — not just proofs of concept. Must be able to speak credibly about agent loop design, planning, tool and MCP integration, memory, retrieval, evaluation, guardrails, observability, cost and latency trade-offs, and real-world failure modes.
- Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce Agentforce — including agent, topic, and action design, integrating Agentforce with custom Apex and external systems, and comparing Agentforce to native
code-based agent frameworks for the right architectural choice.
- Deep practical experience with LLM APIs (Anthropic, OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, or equivalent), prompt engineering at scale, tool/function calling, RAG pipelines, and structured output generation.
- Working experience with at least one production agent framework such as LangGraph, Claude Agent SDK, LangChain, CrewAI, or equivalent, and the judgment to know when each fits.
- Hands-on experience on at least one major cloud — AWS or GCP (Azure acceptable as secondary) — including services relevant to AI workloads: Bedrock / Vertex AI, IAM, Lambda / Cloud Functions, S3 /
GCS, API Gateway, secrets management, and networking basics.
Cloud Certification Is Strongly Preferred.
- Proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript for backend and agent development; comfortable across a modern stack (Node.js, React, SQLite / Postgres / vector stores) and in shipping code into production environments including VDI and desktop-deployed contexts.
- Strong understanding of MCP (Model Context Protocol) or equivalent connectivity standards for exposing tools and data to LLMs — and the practical tradeoffs of building MCP servers vs. direct tool
integration.
- Ability to set up evals, regression tests, and observability for agent systems (latency, token usage, trace inspection, failure triage).
- Experience with Agile development processes, continuous integration and deployments, and leading technical estimation across both Salesforce and AI workstreams.
- Working knowledge of Jira or similar project management / issue tracking tools.
- Strong understanding of design principles, technically scalable data modeling, and Force.com development best practices; able to develop accurate estimates on level of effort for timely project
execution.
- Review and assure quality In all code entering the codebase; continually evaluate and refactor the code base for increased extensibility.
- Proficiency in developing unit testing with assertions for core Salesforce functionality and evals for AI/agent components.
- Self-starter with a senior builder mindset — someone with a demonstrable track record of shipping production systems (not only tutorials, PoCs, or course projects) who can lead an ambiguous problem from concept to deployed system.
- Detail-oriented individual with the ability to rapidly learn and take advantage of new concepts, business models, and technologies — critical given the pace of the AI landscape.
- Take responsibility for end-to-end solution delivery for their respective tracks across both Salesforce and AI.
- Team player with strong communication skills; ability to problem solve high-level software and application issues and explain technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders and client leadership.
- Unit / integration testing and support of UAT testing including development of test scenarios if required.
- Go-live readiness preparation includes cutover activities if required.
- Salesforce certifications: Salesforce Platform Developer I (PD1) and Salesforce Administrator are Mandatory. Additionally, at least two of the following are required: Salesforce Platform Developer II (PD2), Salesforce Application Architect, Salesforce System Architect, Salesforce Service Cloud Consultant, or Salesforce Sales Cloud Consultant.
Preferred Skills
- Salesforce Agentforce Specialist certification and/or Salesforce AI Associate / AI Specialist certification.
- Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA) pursuit or completed architect domain certifications.
- AWS certifications (AI Practitioner, Solutions Architect Associate, Machine Learning Engineer Associate/Specialty) or equivalent GCP / Azure certifications.
- Demonstrable open-source contributions to AI, agentic, or developer tooling projects.
- Experience designing and shipping Electron, desktop, or VDI- deployed applications that embed LLMs into enterprise workflows.
- Production experience with vector databases (pgvector, Pinecone, Weaviate, or similar) and embedding-based retrieval pipelines at scale.
- Familiarity with enterprise LLM hosting and routing — AWS Bedrock, Azure OpenAI, Vertex AI, or internal shared-services gateways — including cost control, model selection, and fallback strategies.
- Experience with Salesforce Data Cloud, Einstein, Prompt Builder, and other native Salesforce AI/analytics tooling.
- Good to have other Salesforce Cloud knowledge like Vlocity, CPQ, etc.
- Good to have data migration knowledge at enterprise scale.
- Understanding of SSO and identity integration (SAML, OAuth 2.0/2.1, OIDC) with other applications is a plus.
- Good to have Salesforce Certified Experience / Community Cloud Consultant.
- Prior experience presenting technical work publicly — internal demos to leadership, client workshops, blog posts, or conference talks.
- Experience mentoring junior engineers and leading pod-level technical reviews.
