Job Title: Oracle Analytics Server (OAS) Specialist
Job Summary
Oracle Analytics Server (OAS) Specialist with 5+ years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, administering, and optimizing enterprise BI and analytics solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in
Oracle Analytics Server architecture, data modeling, dashboard development, performance tuning, and integration with Oracle and non-Oracle data sources. This role involves close collaboration with business stakeholders, data engineers, and IT teams to deliver scalable, high-performance analytics solutions.
Key Responsibilities
OAS / BI Development
- Design, develop, and maintain Oracle Analytics Server (OAS) solutions, including dashboards, analyses, and reports.
- Develop and manage RPD (Repository) models: Physical, Business Model & Mapping (BMM), and Presentation layers.
- Implement subject areas, KPIs, prompts, filters, and interactive dashboards.
- Migrate and upgrade solutions from OBIEE to OAS where applicable.
Data Modeling & Integration
- Integrate OAS with Oracle Database, Exadata, Autonomous DB, ADW, ATP, and non-Oracle sources (SQL Server, Teradata, etc.).
- Develop optimized logical and physical data models aligned with business requirements.
- Work with ETL teams to ensure accurate, consistent, and performant data pipelines.
Administration & Performance
- Install, configure, and administer Oracle Analytics Server environments (Dev/Test/Prod).
- Perform performance tuning for queries, dashboards, and RPD models.
- Manage security: users, roles, application roles, data-level security, and integration with LDAP/SSO.
- Monitor system health, logs, usage tracking, and capacity planning.
Reporting & Advanced Analytics
- Build pixel-perfect and operational reports using BI Publisher.
- Enable advanced analytics features such as data visualization, forecasting, and trend analysis.
- Support ad-hoc analysis and self-service BI capabilities.
Technical Skills
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience with Oracle BI technologies (Oracle Analytics Server and/or OAC / OBIEE).
- Strong expertise in RPD development and complex SQL.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Analytics Server architecture and administration.
- Experience with BI Publisher, dashboards, and analyses.
- OBIEE to OAS migration or upgrade experience.
- Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and query optimization.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts (star/snowflake schemas).
- Experience with Unix/Linux, WebLogic, and basic scripting is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications
