Job Description
Core Engineering & Problem Solving
- Ability to understand unfamiliar code and large legacy systems
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis
- Knowledge of dependency management and resolving version conflicts
- Fast learner with strong research and pattern-recognition skills
- Ability to break down large problems and know when to seek help Technical Fundamentals
- Strong Java 8+ knowledge
- Solid understanding of Spring Framework and Hibernate/JPA concepts
- Proficiency in SQL, relational database fundamentals
- Familiarity with Gradle and build pipelines
- Solid understanding of testing concepts (JUnit, mocking, test structure) Soft Skills
- Patience, attention to detail, and discipline
- Clear communication and comfort with ambiguity
- Risk awareness and ability to document decisions effectively Testing Mindset
- Ability to write meaningful unit and integration tests
- Healthy skepticism—knows that “compiling” isn’t the same as “working”
