Job Description & Summary:
Celestial Aerospace is working on a new concept of hydrogen lift rocket systems. We are hiring a structural engineer with strong experience in aerospace grade materials, structural analysis, and launch vehicle development. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with rocket structure design, metallic & composite materials, FEA and simulation tools across thermal and dynamic regimes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Structural design and analysis of rocket bodies, fairings, and other flight structures
- Perform FEA (ANSYS, ABAQUS) for dynamic loads, buckling, fatigue, and thermal effects
- Analyse manufacturability of flight-grade metallic and composite structures
- Work with propulsion, cryogenic, and mission teams to ensure structural integration
- Conduct optimisation and validation using simulations and experimental data
Mandatory Skill Sets:
- M.Tech in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering (Structures/Materials focus)
- 3–5 years of hands on experience in aerospace structures development
- Strong experience in FEA with ANSYS, ABAQUS, thermal-mechanical simulations
- Familiarity with CAD (SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo) and structural optimization
- Hands-on exposure to rocket-grade alloys, composite reinforcement, and simulation of slosh dynamics, fatigue, and high-speed components
- CFD/tribological analysis for aerospace fluids and bearing systems
- Publications or project experience with ISRO, DRDO, or private space companies
Experience:
3–5 years in rocket structures, aerospace materials, or launch vehicle engineering (including internships, projects, or previous jobs)
Education Qualification:
- M.Tech / MS in Aerospace Materials Engineering (Structures / Materials)
