Job Description & Summary
Celestial Aerospace is developing next-generation launch systems with a strong focus on
precision manufacturing and scalable production. We are hiring a Manufacturing Engineer
to lead fabrication planning, quality assurance, and production optimization for aerospace
structures and components.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with GD&T drawings, quality control
systems, and manufacturing processes for high-precision components. This role will directly
contribute to ensuring manufacturability, consistency, and reliability of flight hardware.
Key Responsibilities
• Interpret and work with detailed GD&T drawings for aerospace components
• Define and optimize manufacturing processes for machined and fabricated parts
• Develop and implement quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) procedures
• Conduct QA & acceptance testing (QA&AT) for manufactured components
• Perform DFME (Design for Manufacturing & Engineering) reviews with design teams
• Coordinate with vendors and fabrication partners (CNC, sheet metal, composites)
• Establish inspection plans, tolerances, and acceptance criteria
• Identify manufacturing risks and implement corrective actions
• Ensure compliance with aerospace-grade standards and documentation
• Collaborate with Structures, Propulsion, and Systems teams for production readiness
Mandatory Skill Sets
• Strong proficiency in GD&T and engineering drawings
• Experience in Quality Control (QC), QA, and QA&AT processes
• Understanding of DFME / DFM principles
• Knowledge of CNC machining, fabrication, and manufacturing workflows
• Familiarity with inspection tools (CMM, calipers, gauges, etc.)
• Ability to work with tight tolerances and aerospace-grade requirements
• Strong problem-solving and process optimization skills
Experience
• 3–5 years in aerospace, automotive, or precision manufacturing industries
• Experience working with CNC vendors and production environments preferred
• Prior involvement in quality systems and inspection processes is a strong plus
• Experience with ISRO, DRDO, Tier-1 suppliers, or aerospace startups preferred
Education Qualification
• B.Tech / M.Tech in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering
