We are looking for talented Aerodynamics Engineers who are passionate about designing efficient, high-performance UAVs and solving complex aerodynamic challenges.
Position Overview
We are seeking an Aerodynamics Engineer with strong expertise in UAV aerodynamic design, analysis, and optimization. The ideal candidate will contribute to the development of fixed-wing and VTOL drone platforms by improving aerodynamic efficiency, stability, and overall flight performance through simulation, analysis, and testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and optimize aerodynamic configurations for fixed-wing and VTOL UAVs.
- Perform aerodynamic analysis using CFD and analytical methods.
- Evaluate lift, drag, stability, control, and overall flight performance.
- Optimize wing, fuselage, propeller integration, and control surface designs.
- Develop aerodynamic models for performance prediction and flight envelope analysis.
- Collaborate with structural, propulsion, flight controls, and manufacturing teams.
- Support wind tunnel testing, flight testing, and data analysis for design validation.
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, and design recommendations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in aerodynamic design and analysis of UAVs, aircraft, or related aerospace systems.
- Strong understanding of aerodynamics, flight mechanics, and aircraft stability & control.
- Hands-on experience with CFD tools such as 3DS Simulia CFD, OpenFOAM, or XFLR5.
- Experience with CAD software such as 3DS CATIA or SolidWorks
- Knowledge of airfoil selection, wing design, and aerodynamic optimization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with VTOL and fixed-wing UAV development.
- Familiarity with propeller and rotor aerodynamics.
- Knowledge of flight testing and aerodynamic validation techniques.
- Experience with 3DS CFD, MATLAB or Python for aerodynamic analysis and automation.
- Understanding of multidisciplinary aircraft design and optimization.
