We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Orthotist (CO) to provide high-quality orthotic care to patients. This role involves evaluating patients, designing and fitting orthotic devices, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to improve patient mobility, function, and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients’ physical conditions and functional limitations
- Design, measure, and fit custom orthotic devices (e.g., braces and supports)
- Adjust and maintain orthoses to ensure comfort and effectiveness
- Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, and rehabilitation teams
- Educate patients and caregivers on proper use and care of orthotic devices
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records
- Stay up to date with advancements in orthotic technology and best practices
Qualifications:
- Certification as an Orthotist (CO) from an accredited board (e.g., ABC or equivalent)
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Orthotics & Prosthetics or related field
- Current state licensure (if required)
- Strong communication and patient-care skills
