Job Summary:
Seeking an Aero Design & Development Engineer II with strong fundamentals in aerodynamics and structural design for UAV systems. The role focuses on solving engineering problems through first-principles thinking, followed by design, analysis, and validation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design aerodynamic components for UAVs based on fundamental principles.
- Analyse performance (lift, drag, stability) using first-principles approach.
- Develop models and support prototyping.
- Validate designs through analysis and experimental testing.
- Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes.
- Document results and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Requirements:
- 3–5 years in aerospace/UAV design.
- Strong fundamentals in aerodynamics, structures, and mechanics.
- Ability to translate problem statements into engineering designs.
- Experience in design validation through analysis and testing.
- Good understanding of materials and manufacturing processes.
Preferred: UAV testing experience.
