About the role

As a Technical Representative in the Maintenance & Engineering Department, you will report to the Head of Contracted Maintenance. The successful candidate will provide technical oversight and reporting on maintenance events performed by third party service providers on the Aer Lingus fleet of aircraft, including base maintenance checks and major component repairs and overhauls. Our Maintenance and Engineering Department helps us to drive Aer Lingus' ambition by ensuring the safety, reliability, and efficiency of our fleet. Your responsibilities as a Technical Representative will include: Providing full oversight of contracted maintenance on Aer Lingus aircraft including aircraft deliveries and redeliveries in line with relevant contract terms while ensuring our service providers maintain the highest safety standards possible. Participating in pre-input and daily project meetings, reviewing relevant milestone plans and work schedules while ensuring all significant items are addressed or escalated as required in a timely manner. Act as single point of contact between the maintenance department and assigned service providers whilst maintaining a healthy relationship with the supplier and ensuring commercial opportunities are maximised. Ensuring adherence to all applicable Aer Lingus safety standards and procedures, reporting of Quality Escapes as outlined in the Aer Lingus CAME, whilst supporting Quality and Compliance personnel in their oversight of suppliers. Monitoring of OEM communications while managing AMOS events and MCC / Operational updates for assigned projects. Authority to dispute, negotiate and agree additional labour/material claims up to the assigned approval level. Delivery and acceptance of both aircraft and work packs to & from the maintenance provider, whilst providing feedback where appropriate. Supporting all sections of the Aer Lingus Maintenance and Engineering Department with the development and execution of the annual maintenance program. Supporting the development of budget and maintenance cost forecasts with a strong commercial focus on cost control. Reconciliation of contracted maintenance invoices including additional costs, whilst ensuing adherence to budget, financial analysis of the project spend as required.
