Role Overview
We are seeking a mid-level AEM Developer with strong experience in Adobe Experience Manager and Adobe Edge Delivery Services (EDS) to build high-performance, scalable, and author-friendly digital experiences. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with AEM Sites, Content Fragments, Universal Editor, and EDS architecture, along with a solid understanding of frontend and backend AEM development.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain AEM components, templates, dialogs, and client libraries.
- Build and deliver high-performance websites using Adobe Edge Delivery Services (EDS).
- Implement document-based authoring and Universal Editor solutions.
- Integrate AEM Content Fragments with EDS.
- Develop scalable frontend solutions using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and modern JS frameworks (React preferred).
- Customize backend logic using Sling Models, OSGi services, and Servlets.
- Optimize performance using lazy loading, caching strategies, and dispatcher rules.
- Collaborate closely with UX designers, product owners, and backend teams.
- Ensure WCAG accessibility compliance, SEO best practices, and responsive design.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, and CI/CD deployments.
- Support deployments using AEM Cloud Manager and resolve production issues efficiently.
Required Skills & Experience
AEM & EDS
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM 6.5 / AEM Cloud Service).
- Practical experience with Adobe Edge Delivery Services (EDS).
- Strong knowledge of AEM Sites, Content Fragments, Experience Fragments.
- Experience with Universal Editor and document-based authoring.
- Familiarity with AEM GraphQL APIs and Persisted Queries.
Backend (AEM)
- Strong understanding of Sling Models, OSGi, Apache Felix, Servlets.
- Experience with HTL (Sightly) and JCR concepts.
- Knowledge of Dispatcher configuration, caching, and security rules.
Frontend
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, JavaScript (ES6+).
- Experience with React.js (preferred) or other modern JS frameworks.
- Strong understanding of responsive design, performance optimization, and cross-browser compatibility.
Certifications (Preferred)
- Adobe Certified Professional – AEM Sites Developer
- Adobe Certified Expert – AEM Developer
- Any Adobe Experience Cloud certification is a strong plus
Nice to Have
- Experience with Multi-Site Manager (MSM).
- Exposure to personalization, analytics, or third-party integrations.
- Experience optimizing Core Web Vitals.
- Prior experience mentoring junior developers.
