Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role based at the Supreme Court of India for the position of Advocate of the Union of India. The role involves representing and defending the Government of India in high-profile legal cases, drafting and filing legal documents, conducting thorough legal research, and providing expert legal advice. The candidate will engage in court appearances, present arguments, prepare case strategies, and collaborate with various legal stakeholders, ensuring the alignment of legal approaches with government objectives.
Qualifications
- Comprehensive knowledge of constitutional law, legal frameworks, and government policies
- Proven track record of drafting legal pleadings, petitions, and conducting thorough legal research
- Strong oral advocacy skills with effective legal argumentation capabilities in court
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously with precision and strategic planning
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure and within stipulated timelines
- Experience in handling cases at the Supreme Court level and familiarity with its operations
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law (LL.B./LL.M.) from a recognized institution
- Enrollment with the Bar Council of India and a valid license to practice law
