Role Description
This full-time on-site Advocate role is based in Mumbai. The Advocate will be responsible for providing legal support and assistance, drafting legal documents, offering guidance on compliance and legal rights, and representing the organization in legal proceedings. Additional responsibilities include conducting research on legal issues, handling agreements and contracts, and ensuring that organizational practices align with local, regional, and national legal standards.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in legal drafting, legal research, and legal analysis
- Knowledge of compliance, contracts, and agreements
- Proven experience in advocacy, negotiation, and dispute resolution
- Proficiency in communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks efficiently
- Educational background in law (LLB or higher), with relevant certifications
- Experience or interest in non-profit organizations, social justice, or public welfare is a strong advantage
