The Alumni Association of the Faculty of Law, University of Delhi is an officially registered organization that fosters connections between the institution’s students, alumni, faculty, and scholars across its four centers and diverse programs. Established in 1924, the Faculty of Law is a prominent institution in legal education, research, and professional training in India, offering courses including LL.B., LL.M., Ph.D., and integrated B.A. and B.B.A. LL.B. programs. The Association supports mentorship, career guidance, internships, knowledge exchange, academic interaction, and professional engagement. Through its initiatives, it upholds the legacy of the Faculty of Law while enriching intellectual growth, professional advancement, and institutional development.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Delhi, India, for an Advocate. The individual will provide legal counsel and expertise, represent the Alumni Association in legal matters, draft, review, and negotiate contracts or agreements, and ensure compliance with institutional regulations and policies. Additionally, the Advocate will liaise with public bodies and legal institutions, contribute to initiatives that strengthen alumni networks, and support professional engagement strategies. The role requires collaboration with alumni and faculty to facilitate mentorship and career assistance programs.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Legal Research, Document Drafting, and Contract Negotiation
- Knowledge of Institutional Compliance, Policy Formulation, and Legal Consultation
- Strong Advocacy, Representation, and Litigation Skills
- Experience in Network Building and Stakeholder Engagement
- Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Law from a recognized institution
- Membership in a recognized Bar Council in India
- Familiarity with academic and professional institutions in the legal sector is an advantage
