What does this role entail?
As a member of the PwC Valuation team, you will perform valuations for financial reporting, tax and or advisory purposes. You will leverage valuation theory and the latest tools to help PwC develop robust, supportable valuations for our clients.
Practice Overview
As a part of the Valuation team, we provide advisory and support services to our onshore client in performing a diverse nature of the valuation engagements. The team has significant experience in performing valuations and strategic analysis of varying complexities for international entities (private and public) of differing sizes operating across a wide range of industries and stages of development. Our Business Valuation team focuses on performing and executing a variety of valuation exercise (including valuation of the company’s business, valuation of IP/intangible assets acquired in M&A transactions, goodwill impairment testing, and valuation for deal support/fund raising, common stock valuation, tax valuation, financial planning and litigation purposes). Our complex securities team focuses on valuation of instruments such as Contingent Considerations, Convertible Debts, SAFEs, Private Equity etc. using Excel, Python and Matlab based valuation models. Our Tangibles Assets Valuation team focuses on valuation of plant and capital equipment, data analytics and dashboard creation using latest tools and technologies.

Financial Services, Technology Media & Telecommunication, Consumer Market, Healthcare,
Industrial Products, Energy, etc.
Core responsibilities (but not limited to)
- Knowledge of key valuation methodologies including Income, Market and Asset/Cost approaches
- Understanding of accounting, corporate finance, valuation, economics, tax and business reporting process
- Ability to analyze third-party valuations, challenging assumptions and performing sensitivity analyses
- Deep technical proficiency in Excel, Power BI and Alteryx, including complex DAX, optimized data models, Power Query transformations, and scalable, secure reporting solutions.
- Ability to conduct in-depth client, industry and market research
- Work closely with US engagement teams on client deals/ businesses and use multiple sources of information including broader stakeholder views to develop solutions and recommendations
- Drafting meeting agendas, management notes while attending client calls and preparing valuation models based on discussion with client and engagement teams
- Analyze complex ideas and scenarios and build a range of meaningful recommendations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including preparing memoranda, reports that communicate research findings and recommendations effectively.

Candidates should demonstrate substantial experience and/or knowledge in the following areas:
✦ Key valuation methodologies for business entities including Income, Market and Asset/Cost approaches
✦ Demonstrated expertise in Power BI & Alteryx including data modeling, DAX, report and dashboard development, and performance optimization.
✦ Building financial models including Discounted Cash Flow, market approach etc.
✦ Preparing memoranda and/or reports that communicate findings and recommendations to our clients concisely and effectively.
✦ Understanding of accounting, corporate finance, valuation, economics, tax and business reporting process
✦ Financial statement analysis including P&L, Cash flow, Balance sheet and Ratio analysis and financial forecasting
✦ Advanced skills in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word and advanced knowledge of digital tools/platforms such as Alteryx and Power BI.

Eligibility criteria
- Post-Graduate PGDM/MBA/CA/CFA with finance specialization
- Strong academic background and industry relevant certifications
